Hillary Scott has had a heck of a new year! This month she celebrated her wedding to hubby Scott Tyrell, her latest album with Lady Antebellum is rocking the charts and she’s never looked better! Not only are we fans of Hillary, but we’ve been lucky enough to spend some time with the country darling over the years, and we can tell you first hand… she really IS every bit as sweet and down to earth as she seems. A tried-and-true AmazingGirl, Hillary has worn Amazing for a few years now thanks to her fabulous makeup artist (and our good friend!), Terri Apanasewicz. And just this month, in an interview with InStyle, Miss Scott listed Powderset as one of her all time fave beauty products, saying “it makes everything waterproof, so I don’t have to worry about my makeup sweating off.” That’s why we love it too.

In honor of her 90th birthday, this week, we’re celebrating Betty White as our AmazingGirl!

Not only is she an actual AmazingGirl (she wears us on Hot In Cleveland!) but a truly beautiful person inside and out. At 90 years old she is the epitome of aging gracefully with enough energy and sass to go around. Betty, you still got it girl!

As we like to say at AmazingCosmetics, Brows are the frame of the face. Too many women overlook their eyebrows when they’re doing their makeup. And I promise, paying them some well deserved attention can totally rock your world. So today, we bring you three tips all about brows and brow gel!

10. If you’re like me, there are days when your eyebrows have a mind of their own and brow gel is a necessity for keeping them in place. So, what are you to do if you’re having an unruly brow day with no gel in sight? Never fear, hairspray is here! Once you’ve finished filling in your brows, spritz a small amount of hairspray onto your fingertips and sweep it over your brows. The hairspray will keep your brows and your ‘do in place all day.

11. When I get on a roll with my mascara, there’s no stopping me. And sometimes, one or two coats too many leaves me with clumps galore. To clean up my lashes and take off the excess mascara without taking it off entirely, I simply use my Brow Gel. Running the brow gel wand through my lashes, just like a mascara wand, cleans up and combs out the excess without adding more goop and it leaves them with a sleek black finish that’s to-die-for.

12. They say it takes a village to raise a child. I’d argue it takes a village to maintain the average woman’s beauty routine. From my hairstylist to my colorist, my manicurist to my brow technician, it takes work to fit in all the appointments I need to feel glam and sometimes, there’s just no time. Luckily, when it comes to my brows I don’t have to fret over a few stray hairs if I can’t squeeze in a trip to the spa for a wax. When you’re getting close to your appointment and you notice a few stray hairs, don’t reach for the tweezer! If you pluck, the hair won’t have grown back in when you go for your wax, and you’ll be in the same situation 8 days later. Instead, apply a few strategic extra dots of AmazingConcealer in between and under your brows. It may not get rid of the hair, but it will coat it with a water resistan formula that blends perfectly into your skin. Voila! The strays will be undetectable to the human eye. Your brows look neat, and your wax won’t go to waste when you can finally fit in that appointment.
